The new year is starting off right and what better way to spend your Monday, than with Plush, Falling in Reverse, and Disturbed.  The CHI Health Center, in Omaha, NE, was host to the Take Back Your Life Tour and January 29th was the 6th stop of the 23 dates scheduled in 2024.

PLUSH

The night started with a packed arena and the heavy rock of 4 ladies from New York.  This young group comprised of Moriah Formica – Vocals & Guitar, Bella Perron – Guitar, Brooke Colucci – Drums and Ashley Suppa – Bass set the place on fire.  For as young as the members are, they are all accomplished musicians.  But what stands out is the amazing vocals of Moriah Formica.  One of the highlights of the evening was Plush’s cover of Barracuda by Heart. The music was good, but when the singing started, wow!  Moriah Formica did Ann Wilson justice.  She was awesome!  The show was high energy and a great opener for the Take Your Life Back tour.

FALLING IN REVERSE

Next up was Falling in Reverse.  Hailing from Las Vegas, this band’s musical genres entangles rock, a melodic rap, and trap in their live show and uniquely compliments all three.  The singer, Ronnie Radke’s powerful vocals and non-stop, energetic performance must be experienced.  He is back and forth across the stage continuously, with the amazing light show, making the visuals of the show captivating.  The blistering guitar work of Christian Thompson uniquely complements the musical amalgamation.  The show started with their fan favorites Zombified and I’m Not a Vampire and ended with Watch the World Burn.  Falling in Reverse put on a great show and are an excellent complement to the Take Back Your Life tour.

DISTURBED

Finally, Disturbed took the stage.  Starting with a shear cloth covering the stage with the shadows of the band projected onto the cloth, building the suspense.  The show started when the curtain dropped, and the band started the show with Hey You.  The music continued with the hits Stupify, the band’s covers of the Genesis song Land of Confusion and the Simon & Garfunkel hit The Sound of Silence.  The show was accentuated with amazing lights, fog and pyrotechnics, resembling the rock concerts of the 70’s and 80’s. The concert was further accentuated with the guitar, bass and drum solos.  It was like the concerts of my youth and I, along with the audience, loved it!

This was my first time seeing Disturbed, and it was an incredible show.  I will be seeing their next tour, and I highly recommend you do the same.
